Glossary

VT

A VT is a pre-recorded video clip played into a live show. The term comes from "video tape", and although the tape is long gone, the word stuck — today a VT is simply any packaged video item: an interview, a highlights reel, a filmed report, a sponsor message or an opening title sequence.

VTs are listed in the running order like any other item, with a duration, and are cued (rolled) by the gallery at the right moment. Because they're pre-made, they're often supplied ahead of the show by contributors who aren't in the room, which is why collecting them reliably — with the right title, duration and name spellings attached — matters so much.
